A Survey Study of English Writing Strategies Used by Thai Undergraduates in Business English Program

The research study aims to explore writing strategies used by Thai first fourth-year university students. Thirty-six (36) students from the Business English program at a government in Southern Thailand who had experience writing, served as subject of research. They responded questionnaire. online questionnaire was created using SurveyCan. focused on students’ experiences through use strategies. results revealed that most both cognitive and metacognitive for prewriting or planning stage. During drafting stage, it found developing their ideas when text. Besides, they socio-affective engaging tasks, searching more information other resources, asking peers. In post-writing sometimes strategies, respectively. findings this suggest may not get familiar with learning new things each ideas, critical thinking, solving problems writing. Overall, various stage be aware effectiveness skills higher levels.
